ABOUT SHERRY KERR
Sherry is originally from North Dakota. She attended Minot State College and the University of Ottawa, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Sherry began training dogs and horses at a very young age. She is a "natural" trainer.

Her first Labrador, Montana's Tar of Rogers Pass, was bred to Field Trial Champion Floodbay's Baron O' Glengarven. Tar's litter was born in 1964 and Sherry kept two puppies, Spanky and SharLe's Baron (Scamp).

Sherry entered her first dog show in Fargo, ND with Spanky, winning a 3 point major in Conformation and a 4th place in Obedience. While in Canada, attending the University of Ottawa, Spanky became a Canadian Field Champion (she also won a total of 8 AKC showpoints, including one major win). Her brother, SharLe's Baron, became a Canadian Show Champion.

Sherry has trained 3 Canadian Field Champions (before the days of the elecric collar). They are Spanky, Gaylab's Satin of SharLe', and Shadrach of SharLe'.

Sherry lived in Ft. Collins, Colorado for 2 years. While there a daughter of Spanky and FTC., AFTC., Zipper Dee Do, called SharLe's DeeDo, won 10 AKC showpoints and many ribbons in Qualifying and Open stakes at fun field trials in the area. Canadian Field Champion Gaylab's Satin of SharLe' was the top Open dog of the Ft. Collins Field Trial Club one year.

In 1975 Sherry bought a small kennel in South Dakota and began using the "SherLab" kennel name. She taught obedience classes there for 20 years, did some showing and trialing and much training, and continued to breed fine quality, very happy, very healthy, Labradors, including 2 Show Champions, (Sport and Special), and many others with show points and fun field trial wins and placings.

Sherry and her Labradors are now located near North Liberty, Indiana where she has a very nice boarding, training kennel situated on 10 lovely acres.
